Course information

This is a practical course for those with little or no previous tractor and machine handling experience. You will receive plenty of hands-on experience behind the wheel and will learn all the necessary to safely and efficiently drive a tractor with and without attachments/trailers.

This course is open to everyone however, if you are 19 years old or over, you may be eligible for funding for this course. Please enquire for more details about your eligibility.

This course will cover:
• Basic operations and manoeuvring
• Use of attachments, trailers and the power take-off (PTO) shaft.
• Health and Safety legislation.
• Controls and Pre-checks.
• Operating the Tractor.
• Manoeuvring
• Mounted Implements and trailed machines.
• PTO’s Tractor mounted front-end loader.

No Entry Requirements

There will be an assessment at the end of the course.
